Impeccable food, drinks, ambiance, and service! I had wanted to try this place for a while and restaurant week provided the perfect opportunity. I had the gazpacho, white fish, and fraise et fleur de sureau. I love the varied menu. Perfect Tribeca vibe.

TLDR: Get the pancakes! The pancakes were so delightfully fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The omelette dish paired well as a savory accompaniment but didnt stand out on its own.

The clearest sign of an overheated economy? $12 for bread and baguette to start the meal (even if the baguette was baked next door with a lovely crunch). My omelette was a well executed French omelette with a nice degree of fluffiness, although I prefer the sharper cheeses that Balthazar employs. Zero qualms about the fries. Probably would skip the charred carrots with yogurt next time - I think they could have been a bit more gutsy in their charring to bring out the sweetness.
